Natural History, Nature Conservation, and Land Management practical educational programs for Nature Conservation Volunteers.
Activity Code : Vol01
Summary of the Activity : NaRLA is offering experiential educational and training programs, ranging from 'introductory' to 'advanced professional' levels, to those working as volunteers with NaRLA.
While working with members of NaRLA's staff and consultants, volunteers may choose to undertake educational activities custom-designed personally for them to help develop their knowledge and skills in aspects of nature conservation of particular interest to them.
Fields related to nature conservation in which volunteers may choose to work, learn, and gain valuable practical experience include, amongst others: administration and management of environmental NGOs, flora and fauna surveys, wildlife research, wildlife management and conservation, ecology, property management planning, environmental management, communications, design and management of information systems, community education, and graphic design.
NaRLA offers a rare opportunity for people wanting to volunteer their services to support nature conservation in a practical way, and, at the same time, learn more about Australia's wildlife and what is involved in the many and diverse 'coalface' facets of nature conservation.
Maximum Number of Participants : Variable, depending on the work or training project undertaken.
Dates : Determined in consultation with each volunteer.
Times : Determined in consultation with each volunteer.
Locations : Determined in consultation with each volunteer.
Provider : NaRLA and associates.
Cost : Training for volunteers is free of charge.
Please contact us if you would like to make a tentative or confirmed booking.
Please note that to maximise the quality or minimise the environmental impact of some activities, a limit is placed on the number of people who are able to participate. Where there is such a limit (see the description of the activity above), places will be allocated on a 'first confirmed and paid - first enrolled' basis.
